searching for Torque today, i happened upon, and bought: california d&b 119 cru, or something similar Aftre a brief listen, seems to be standard jungle fare, complete with the annoying vocals and MCs. Gonzi must be behind this west coast stuff. doesn't seem to be much too much innovation in this one, but some nice cut up drums, a little thundering bass. Maybe something to mix onto a tape sometime. Gonna have to listen to this one again. . . . tracks [mixed by josh swissman, heretic, and golgo13] by: embee remarc joker dope skillz the x swift serious intent dynamic duo the jb dj red hardnoise dj connie & bizzy b . . and on to the question. I have the possibility of purchasing two Technics SLP1200 [?] CD players for a $1,000. My friend alerted me that these cost 1200 apiece, New. Of course, this seems like quite the deal, but whats the quality of these and is there a better dual CD player in the $1000-$1500 range, or is a good bet for the Technics? *-*- a man without a god is like a fish without a bicycle -*-* looking to get into debt, jeff

Uh, that's a mix CD, so it's already mixed onto a tape, so to speak. Actually, the 119 Crew are tops, though if you're looking for Squarepusher, you won't find any in their crates (though I could check their shelves at home, if you'd like!) Strictly Jump-Up, Hardstep, that kind of stuff.
