tips. and you NINE INCH NAILS and you PRODIGY and you APHEX TWIN actually you are quite wrong about david bowie. ever heard low or heroes? huh? dont jump to conclusions. bowie has always been ahead of his time, at least to popular taste (please ignore the 60's and 80's output of this otherwise unblemished genius) U2 also is a great pop band who found a love for techno, and are trying to help bring it to the forefront of popular taste. and if you think anyone of your favorite bands can make drums that sound as wonderful as larry mullen, then you're just retarded (yes yes i like aphex and autechre, but it isnt the same type of thing, so dont even bring them up) if you're going to started haranging popular groups, just because they want to try something a little more on the cutting edge, then please make sure you've heard them. and remember, if rdj, or the like, had never listened to popular music, he wouldnt have the great pop genius that he does. he doesnt get that from john cage or even brian eno. every one of the groups everyone of you listen to owe at least a slight debt to popular music (even hafler trio). dont fool yourself and think that just because the stuff you like is and never will be popular, that it is so much a higher music than pop. begin the flaming now. oi, tomas.
