Hi Folks, Well, after trawling through the x-large pile of digests that arrived during the festive period I'm glad to see that the season of goodwill didn't get in the way of a good moan and some hardcore sniping! Anyway, trekking through the snow I came across the following late Xmas presents: Global Communication - The Way / The Deep - The Way / The Deep Remixes Superb deep house from Tom and Mark. The two original tracks are both around 12 minutes long and have a very mellow pure vibe. Lovely bass/melody line. The remixes are by Deep Dish and Joshua, the latter being the most (house) club friendly with its cheeky 4/4 and vocal sample. Both 12"s are available this week in the UK for 2 quid each so snap 'em up! (By the way, I bought these in the local outpost of the evil-empire Virgin. Both on vinyl, both for that bargain price. Make of that what you will). I was somewhat surprised to see this Secret Ingredients style project coming out under the name of GC but I just read an interview with Tom and Mark in Vox (shit glossy by NME hacks) where they said that they were ditching some of their aliases this year and hinted that the next GC project might be jungle! Rob ;-) ----------------------------------------------------------- 'Drum Machines - hell, you just programme the motherfucker, press a button, you got that "bim, bam, boom" twenty four hours a day if you want it. You want it to stop? Press another button! Synthesizers too. I love 'em!' - Miles Davis, 1986
