The Gary Moscheles albumn is incredible. People have been trashing Micheal P. lately and saying this albumn sucks. But it's made my end of year top 3. I personally found _Das ist ein Groovybeat, Ja?_ to be a disappointment after the first Jake Slazenger albumn. This albumn should have been the second Slaz albumn. Ok, it's cheezy and retro. But it's great fun. Songs like "Play it again, Sonny" and "Plot Thickener" and "Gary's House" have such infectious groovieness. If you can deal with the fact that Mike P. is taking a piss, this is a super albumn. Cheezy Retro Techno (ala Slaz, Money Mark, Mike & Rich) is rapidly overtaking D 'n' B as my favourite form of electronica. On another note, I recently picked up the new Red Snapper. The first track on the albumn called "Robinson Crusoe takes a trip" is an amazing work of music. brian (*) Fresh and Full of Life Brian Tang NYC http://silly.com/~tang

I don't think its one of the year's best, but it sure is a good listen and he doesn't deserve to be trashed here by a rouge sheister whose decided to flood us w/hate mail. I really enjoy this album, but I also can't wait to hear UrmurBile...

Here's where I part ways w/you though. Ever since my disappointment in Expert Knob Twiddlers, this cheezy action has me worried. Granted, EKT is not a bad album, by any means.. but when I think of what it COULD have been w/these two twiddlers at work (based on their previous material) it sort of saddens me. I was really hoping for that collaboration to be a stormer, and it sort of flopped into my "novelty" category. I find myself yearning for more serious efforts in IDM, that's the style I like (ie the harder tracks on Gen.Star Wars for instance <shouts out to Anthony Bryan!!, your rekkids on the way> ). The stretching, pounding percussion of Dillininja gets my brain and blood pumping a thousand fold compared to that cheeze.. my opinion ...

Haven't heard the new LP yet, but loopascoopa is good.. so far, I can't find anything I don't like by the snapper crew.
