Hurmm.... thought I'd recommend something that appeared on my doorstep lastweek. Somewhere there's a 2x12" called Blue Sky, a collaboration between BT and (eep) Tori Amos. Surprisingly, Amos makes a great trancy wailing diva, and what better does her voice harmonize with the remixing powrs of Rabbit in the Moon... (my favorite remix of the bunch). You'll also find a few retouches by Deep Dish (I think they're the pits, but that's just my opinion) and two golden trance stompers by Paul van Dyke. This collection is highly recommended if this sorta thing turns your crank. onnow: Bochum Welt "Scharlach Eingang" (rephlex) Lame Thread Prevention in Effect: Aaron Michelson --------------------------------------------------------------------- aw-teck'r (autechre) "Everything you Know is Wrong." I have to agree. I heard this on Jason Bentley's show (Metropolis/KCRW/ L.A.) and thought that it was a great use of a vocal sample (recorded during a Tori Amos soundcheck). The transitions in the song are really nice too. I would grab the single but avoid the album (generic IMO). --t On Mon, 9 Dec 1996, Aaron Michelson wrote:

Greets! Has there been any traffic about 'BT' around here? I was checking this disc out - kind of half heartedly when I realized that it was not as much fluff as I thought it was - In thinking it was the next 'Robert Miles' I sort of disregarded it as serious digs, but as I began to pay attention somewhere in the second disc I began to be amazed - First at the fact that Tori Amos redefines 'lyrical techno' far over the heads of predecessors such as Sunscreem or OpusIII - and then the guy throws on an extended melody/mix, then a 43 minute track, and then 'Divinity' finishes the disc off - leaving me going DAMN! Let's just hear that AGAIN! Where did this guy come from, how has he gotten Tori Amos into the project, and what other than this 'Ima' double CD does he have released so far? I hope seriously that I am not standing here in the dark about this guy. I picked up this disc a few weeks ago, and love it. I think that "blue skies" is awesome, and it has become one of my favorite songs. I know that BT has a web page, but I can't remember the URL. As soon as I figure it out, I will let you know. As for other releases, i think that the ima 2CD is all that' sbeen released.
