The ideal setting is when the record doesn't jump while cuing and scratching.. Or more to the point, there is an ideal setting for the *cartridge*, not the turntable. Cheerio! NP - Ancodia - 808 State

Try something around 1.25 for starters and go up or down from there, you want to track as lightly as possible without skating, bouncing or jumping off the disc, otherwise you might as well be using a nail on your vinyl. Good luck
