Let it not be said that this nail hath no head. Well aside from that, what about the actual record? Well first thing to grab you is the packaging. Absolutely lush glossy metal foil covered embossed (with WARP logo and artist/title) 10" sleeve. The next thing will be the music. "Khala" is a deep dark near-ambient work, which previously appeared as the last track on the hard-to-get "Eurowarp" tape. And "Humba" is a superb wonky 5/4 groove which should restore all but the most jaded idmers' faith in WARP, and possibly in the world in general :) The appearance of this track on Blech2 was almost a red herring. Just the vocal snippet "The things that people say you cannot do" as it emerges from the track in the outro, laid over LFO, is all that appeared, explaining why it had no exclusive track number associated with it. btw has anyone else seen a promo of this. Mine is pressed on 12" vinyl, a really interesting piece as it has an inch-wide gap around the ouside of both sides, since the groove pressing is identical! hunt it down; 1000 copies are available. that's probably because when they press 10"s (or any other odd size between 7 and 12 inches) they have to press it as a 12" and then trim the excess off. probably didn't want to bother with the promos - but hey, instant collector's item ;) [grievous]
