Map Records is rather proud to announce our first release, a compilation of
Vancouver's finest and most prolific beat hedonists, called Welcome To
Lotus Land. It features tracks from DREAMLOGIC (ESP, Harthouse), MERE
MORTALS (Wax Trax, Endzeit), PILGRIMS OF THE MIND (Interchill,
Outersanctum, Incoming), MC2 (Endzeit, Dossier) and CAP'M STARGAZER (Exist
Dance, Harthouse). Some of the above are also known as Off And Gone (Exist
Dance, Eye Q), Vuemorph (Silent), Floatpoint (ESP, Apollon), and were
involved in the classic Outersanctum compilation.
Welcome To Lotus Land should be on our website presently, playable in Real
Audio (including newest version) and ISDN. Please check it out and let us
know what you think. CD version (in stores beginning of December) is
continuous (no pauses between tracks!) and the absolute maximum length our
pressing plant will allow - 74min. Select cuts are being released on 12".
