1. Motorbass , french artists , currently part of the clique being
raved about in the glossy dance mags ,along with dimitri,air,
la funk mob, these guys tend to be doing something a bit more
adventurous than most british 'downtempo' artists who tend to
stretch one idea over weak breakbeats (there are a few exceptions though)
, their lp got album of the month in Muzik a couple of months back ,
(that dosen't go for much though!) , it is called "Panosoul" , although
I can't remember what label it is on!
2.Outcast - Bit better on this one , actually have their "Rollercoaster"
single,
(One Little Indian) , 3 mixes , 2 are on a very Portishead style 'torch
song' tip,
whilst the 3rd mix is what we describe as 'Hard House' , sorta Leftfield on
amphetamines , writing credits go to Hannet/Richard Brown and a vocalist
Sarah Winton.
