What is Skam??
A Manchester, UK based record label run by Andy Maddocks
Don't Autechre run Skam??
No. Sean and Rob were once flatmates with Andy and there have
been releases from they're Gescom project on skam, but they do
not RUN skam.
How is Skam affiliated with V/Vm??
No official way. They're just close and such. They're both out
of Manchester and worked together on the 0161 (manchester)
compilation. they also do assorted local shows together.
What is Mask ??
Mask is the mysterious label that Skam set up with German label,
Skam (get it, "MASK"--"S, K, A, M" & "M,A,S"!) Two releases so
far, with a third due out
in Janurary. The releases are compilations, simply titled with
the number in the series (ie: Mask1, Mask2). They are all
limited to a certian number in accordance to the cat # (mask1 is
limited 100 copies, mask2 200,and so on.) The artists
contributing have thier names listed on the record, but in no
particular order.
