Anyone know what happened to Love Corporation? As far as I know, they had only one brilliant full-length about 3 years back, and a few random singles and compilation appearances. A couple of kickful cuts on the Creation Dance Compilations: "Give Me Some Love" (Andrew Weatherall Remix) "Palatial" (Danny Rampling remix) - an unsung classic - pseudo-sensual meditative psychobabble over a sssssmoooth rhythm. Complete with sighs and moans to make an Enigma producer blush. Best, Zenon M. Feszczak Curiosity Seeker

There were actually two albums - Tones, and Colours (I think).

That version of Palatial is much better than the one on the LP I have. adam

I have three: Tones, Lovers, and Intelligentsia. Lovers has that wonderful Rampling version of "Palatial", which turned me on to the band (via one of Creation's compilations) and which is still the best track they've been involved with to date as far as I'm concerned. There may be one more album release in there somewhere. I'll look around when I get home and see what kind of information I can scare up -- my copy of Intelligentsia is a Japanese pressing and has a mini-discography. -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo)

Just to add to the thread Ed Ball the guy behind "The Love Corporation" also is the main man behind another band on Creation called "The Times" which is a lot more poppier than "The Love Corporation", but some of the tracks such as _Lundi Bleu_ & _Give Me Some Love_ (similar in style to Palatial) are essential listening. The band was also responsible for tracks like _Finnegan's Break_ and so on. Of note for Lazlo the English/Australian version of "Lovers" does not contain _Palatial_ in any shape or form. The original does appear on "Tones", though. Regards, John /-------------------------------------------------------------------\ | JOHN BUS (aka. Erm, but my copy with Palatial *is* the Australian version. Shock CD 1003. -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo)
