Hello all, no I'm not refuring to the band that did "Road To Nowhere" but
rather a new mailing list set up by Global Headz, the people who bring you
London's finest ambient club "The Big Chill" and "On" magazine. Here is
some info:
Subject matter : An extension of ON magazine, our free print media monthly
that covers all manner of loosely termed 'alternative lifestyle' subjects.
We'd like to leave this open to your own interpretation of what's relevant,
but here are a few pointers :
Music - record releases, clubs, festivals, DJs, musicians, producers
(ambient, experimental, techno, drum 'n' bass, hip-hop, world, house - no
rock 'n'roll please!!)
Media / Arts - books, cinema, TV etc
Technology - internet, communications, computers, software, gizmos etc.
Places to hang out : UK, worldwide - cool bars, cafes, beaches,
exhibitions, travel tips, etc.
Politics/environment.
This may sound like a wide brief, and obviously threads will develop as it
gathers momentum, but feel free to post on the occult, plant growing or
sports, if you feel that this is relevant.

Incidently Talking Heads front man David Byrne once (c.1981) did an LP with
Brian Eno called "My Life in The Bush of Ghosts" which uses pre-sampler
found vocals (radio preachers, Islamic chants, etc.) backed with Talking
Heads style music similar to that found on the "Remain In Light" LP, its
quite good, especially conidering it was all done using tape loops. If
interested its on EG records.
Over and out,
