I'm not too familiar w/ Touch, other than it's the home of at least one Sandoz recording. Anyway, the local record chain that I promise myself I'll never go to has a shrinkwrapped John Duncan CD for $7, clearance. I can't provide any other info, except it's in a bland cardboard box, and has his name and Touch on the outside. Any info would be appreciated, Dave "Isn't that new?" "Why, yes - it is. Do you like it?" dmanning@cwis.unomaha.edu............dave.manning@entex.com

Touch have been releasing top notch experimental music here in the UK for over 10 years. Their project seems to incorporate everything that IDMers might find interesting: field recordings, 'world' music, electronica (inc. Sandoz), serious experiments in sound and its affect upon the hearer and so on. All releases come beautifully packaged in Jon Wozencroft design. The closely-related label Ash International introduced Scanner to the world and has put out a facinating series of releases including a gripping recording made in 1948 of the conversation between the driver of a runaway train and his controller! A recent Touch/Ash release that might be of interest to this list is 'Aurobindo: Involution' - by Daren Seymour (Seefeel) and Mark Van Hoen (Locust). Work out the mysterious track titles and recieve a unique recording. Get to work, trainspotters! Sample CDs for both Touch and Ash are now available and the Touch mail-order catalogue is a souce of much goodness. E-mail them for info at: TOUCH@touch.demon.co.uk. Despite all this I still can't answer the question about John Duncan! The out-of-date pile of stuff next to me here makes no mention of him! Oops. love, Rob.
