Hiya...apologies for my lackness.
RE: Boston Stores
I've not responded because Boston is currently in Flux.
The most respected house DJ in Boston (DJ Bruno) has
*just* (as of 12/16) opened up a shop across from the
recently closed _Beat Non Stop_. As soon as I can get
some time with him, I'll run the whole Rotator Q&A on
him. On the here and now tip, there is currently
and excellent buyer at the Boston Beat store located
above STA Travel on Newbury street. The buyer, Tim
Haslett who knows his shit two times. He is the sole
reason for the retention of my sanity in this fucked
up city. You name it, if it's good he knows about it
and he stocks it as much as the Euroslinging bitch owners
allow him to.
I expect Tim to jump shit (erm, shit) soon enough because
it's clear that Boston Beat does not recognize his brilliance.
Rather, they treat him like a kid. Bruno on the other hand
is a class act, class clown and in love with what matters most
...booty. No, you know I mean... bass. ;-)
As for where I shop?? Everywhere...IE
on line: derek oliver (moses@teleport.com)
and ear-rational@xmission.com
on the 313 tip: you should be buying direct from submerge.
slut stores: tower records and newbury comix are a snap
to find and have a fair selection of CDs.
newbury has a harvard square store as well
and the HMV in harvard square has an expensive
but well stocked IDM stylee selection.
I also have a secret weapon boston buyer who may reveal
himself to you all soon enough, but since I'm unsure if he
wants to be known at this time I will bite my tounge.
I will say that I'm picking up my octagon man 3x12"
from him somewhere on Boylston Street tonight. Yeeaaah.
