Continuing the sample spotted thread ... I heard one last night that I do
not know if it's been sent to this group.
I finally bought a copy of Deep Space Network's "Big Rooms" at the weekend
and I am not sure which track off hand, but towards the end of the disc ...
there is a sample of some beautiful Miles Davis trumpet taken from the
first track of his soundtrack for the 1950's French film "Lift to the
Scaffold".
An interesting sample ... but I am still trying to work out if it's a good
use of a sample. It still seems quite out of place, as the original Davis
track was so sublime and "perfect". If you are familiar with both discs I
think you will know what I mean.
