Tucked away between Peter Gabriel and Yo La Tengo in the "alternative" section of this months BMG music catalog is none other than our very own Richard James' _I Care Because You Do_. Apparently, the BMG think tank believes he's best described as "a modern Kraftwerk." Strange. Certainly a landmark of sorts for IDM, no?

Selected Ambient Works II has been in the Columbia House club for awhile too. I guess that happens when your on mega-huge (hyped) Sire. BTW, I have an extra copy of "I Care Because You Do" if someone would like to trade something (like a cd single or a piece of trash you no longer enjoy) for it that would be splendid. Its unopened and everything. MC
