Wondering if anyone saved the review(s?) that were posted on Patrick Pulsinger's "Porno" album. If so, could you please send me a copy? Many thanks. Ashok adivakaran@worldbank.org

can anybody give me some idea as to whether patrick pulsinger's 12" out on Mo'Wax (under the pseudonym io) is similar to his stuff on his album, 'porno'. Its also got a mix by black dog and somebody else. The third track on the same side has an excellent mix, can't remember who by, but it's got a wicked acid bit. It sounds a little bit like prtishead with heavier beats.Cheers people, derek.

Not really. The iO stuff is way-downtempo techno/house with electronic jazz overtones while _Porno_ is sparse, groovy minimal techno. I'm getting used to it. I frankly hoped for more in the "techno" vein, but I'm finding it much more jazzy/groovy than electronic. I wanted something a little more uptempo, but what can we say? Hell, it's a sub-labal of Mo'Wax, afterall. I think it will work well in a smooth or deep house set, though. It's supreme for listening. I might consider it "music to drink martinis by." Anyone heard the new Patrick Pulsinger "The Album, Easy To Assemble .."? release. I haven't heard anything from him in years.
