... what are the two girls saying in that sample ? (something fantasy...) ... my brother says its a sample of two of the sisters from the brady bunch?! There was once a strop film circulating around with the rugby boys in Cornwall... Richard used a bit from that... (The film was called Fantasies!)... 'I am gonna give you a coming out party, at your house... etc' Incidently... this must be the most over sampled pornographic film ever made, as there are at least 6 tunes that I can think of which have taken bits from it. Only the Plaid stuff on _Bytes_. The forthcoming Plaid EP on Warp might well get a CD release - Greg? || [CiM] || u9323899@sys.uea.ac.uk || http://www.sys.uea.ac.uk/~u9323899/

I'd be very surprised if it didn't. WARP are now releasing everything but special editions on both 12" and CD - quite a few companies are following this trend... boo hiss (?) What did surprise me (but it shouldn't) is that Balil had a release on Planet e ages ago? [See current Mixmag with Top labels suppliment thingy.] Does anyone have this release? One advantage of CD is you can keep replaying sections: "I'm going to give you a coming out party. At your house! ... It's perfect and you can't refuse, it's my gift to you. It's your fantasy" "Fantasia, having a party is not my idea of a fantasy, especially right now" "The party is the fantasy. I know what you like. It's a fantasy you once told me about, remember?" "I don't remember telling you about it. What is it? What's the fantasy?" Classy dialogue from what sounds like a classy movie. :-) OnNow: have a guess ;;, | Paddy Grove, \\ .;(((((c. There is a remix of _Nort Route_ on the _Objets d'Art_ compilation. You also get _Choke And Fly_ on the comp; IMO, one of the best Black Dog tracks ever. || [CiM] || u9323899@sys.uea.ac.uk || http://www.sys.uea.ac.uk/~u9323899/

A _remix_ of Nort Route?? Aww shit! How different is it? On Applied Rhythmic Technology, Nort Route is one of my favourite techno trax ever, so i've ordered Object's d'art on that strength... who knows how the two compare? jAmz =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= tHe WiG wItH tEeTh -- j.p.walsh@bradford.ac.uk -- http://www.brad.ac.uk/%7Ejpwalsh/jAmpAge.html =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

I'm glad someone asked... The original mix of 'Nort Route' on Intergalactic Beats sounds like something off the Bytes LP... Very digital sounding and the blackdog stylee of shifting & changing rhythm. As you may or may not know, on Objet's D'Art, the remix is more melodic, and not relying on the main synth line as much as the melody. I still prefer the original to the remix, but I wanted to listen to the remix as well. This comparison can also be applied to the 'Clinically Inclined' remix on Objet's D'Art by Future/Past, but both mixes of this track are fairly club-friendly. I agree with the liking of 'choke & fly' but i'm more partial to the Atypic track... For those new IDM subscribers/IDM DJ's, a bit of advice... Seek the Objet's D'Art 4LP, In my opinion, a great starter pack for the more 'melodic' side of TRUE electronic listening music. It's also highly limited and sought after by 'purveyors of the fine funk' like myself... Derek Jordan
