I like their album, "Beautronics", better than "Salamander", so you should definitely check it out (I got mine at othermusic.com). Also, they have an awesome remix on the Warp 10 + 3 CD. I've heard the Beautronics lp is great. I have a 7" called Betty's Lament on Bad Jazz (BeBop 10). There are other 7"s on the same label. i have beautronics, but i don't enjoy it as much as salamander. but it's still good. not as melodic, and i like melody lots these days. but then again, sometimes i don't. so who knows. haven't heard any of their 7"s, tho. how are they? alan! np:seefeel:ch-vox(not exactly melody-laden...) I highly reccomend Betty's Lament. You'll get some good melody on the a side, which is the title track. The beat is a bossa nova variation and the melody goes through some interesting changes. The synth tones are quite beautiful. The b side is a more straight forward ambient track with warm beats that do some clever counterpoint at the end. I don't know if Bad Jazz has a web site. I found this disc in an unlabeled bin of 7"s at a record store in LA. happy hunting, Lee np - some track I'm working on that needs a good night's sleep.
