Surely there has to be someone official from WARP here on IDM that can comment (or make excuses) for this shitty pressing on brown beeswax of SAW 2. As "limited edition" as it is, I sure hope they didn't mean that the sound quality would be "limited" too. ;) A response from the label please? on now: M-plant #303 -- the memory foundation. _________________________________________________________________________ Matt MacQueen -- multimedia production -- human interface, CD-ROM, Web <macqueen@student.msu.edu> -- aural nukes in the mix _________________________________________________________________________

When it first came out, I was fortunate enough to see the vinyl surface of a copy in the store and see those bumps. I just took RDJ cue I guess and went to another store (2nd Ave PDX) and opened all four of their vinyl copies and swapped the records right there in the store so that I got a non-skipping pressing. I mean, fuck, they can't get away with that... I reasoned that those other copies should be opened even if I've already bought it on cd or something already so that other people scoping them out can get a chance to see the vinyl "oh look, I can look at the records...", .....esp since that store *doesn't* allow returns of new vinyl for reasons of bad pressings, etc... can you believe that? <groan> David Chandler - chandler@nethost.multnomah.lib.or.us (503)301-3011 grep -i casio goodwillbins >> mystudio ; grep -i atari goodwillbins >> mystudio ;

As I said in my other message, I don't think WARP knew they had a problem. And not *directly* related to that - Having to recall x thousands of copies is the sort of thing that could finish a small label like WARP. I don't think many of you realise how small the WARP outfit is... greg The Official WARP Web Site 3 0 3 http://www.ncl.ac.uk/~n264671/wap-indx.html
