if you mean dwayne rudolph goettel, i would really, really, really doubt this thing has anything to do with him. it is a very good cd though...possibly along the lines of some rising high ambient stuff...? and as for visible records releasing 'stinkers' i would beg to differ. i have about half a dozen releases from this label and they are all great. they seem to tow the line between trance and idm and ambience. -r -- o _/,_ . /o...\__// fk453@cleveland.freenet.edu \_'__/``\` \`

Right. Dwayne's Techno forays are done under the nom-de-plume "Duck". He and his musical partner in Skinny Puppy are also doing a side project under the name Download that will include some collaborations with DJ Philth a.k.a. Captain Stargazer of "Captain Stargazer vs. Commander Mindfuck" fame. - Greg

most of the rising high stuff i've heard is far more melodic. antihouse is very drony and fax-like, to these ears. i like it.

i don't know if it came out yet but i heard a whole slew of material by Not Breathing that visible was considering releasing and i thought it was all really bad. i hate to say it since i guess dave of not breathing is on the net (maybe even on this list) but wow, i was seriously underimpressed. the latest visible thing i've got is a 12" from planet 6 called "space music for fluffheads." it's got 3 tracks, and the last one on side b is wonderful. it's called "flute floyd" and has a nice minimal 808 electro beat with some weird flute drones and the occasional burst of "on the run" by pink floyd. very trippy and cool. -- Name: Jon Email: jsd@cyborganic.com Web: http://cyborganic.com/~jsd

definetly a great cd! you should hear their upcoming 12", with remixes by seofon. they are quite good! a bit more upbeat than the album though... which is too bad... track five on the CD is the sexy honey tonk master of all!

wow! what slew did you hear? just curious... our 12" came out a few months ago, and was material recorded over 2 and a half years ago(when I was 18), our CD is being released may 15th, and is all new material. ... our other CD is being released from Dagon productions in july, and a 10" from Instanoize later in september. sorry we didnt hit you the right way - give us another chance sometime!

Once again, I've all but entirely missed the thread.... Well, the question seems to have been answered, but I can indeed confirm that the Antihouse guy is not D Rudoph Goettel. He is one Forster David Rudolph...I've met him a couple times as he goes to UC Berkeley, as did/will I. As far as I know, neither Dave nor Jimmy has released anything previous to this CD, except Antihouse has that track "Mercury Harbor" which appears (typoed) on Silent Records' _From_Here_To_Tranquility_3_ compilation. The Visible CD sounds pretty different from that, though. While we're at it, I'll add that I think it's a fantastic CD too... probably my favorite Visible release, and I'll second Dave's motion that track 5 (.14) is sexy as all-git-out. It's a pretty easy album to spot...just look for a big shopping basket on an orange cover. And, as Dave mentioned, the Antihouse 12" should be out pretty soon. I did a couple remixes for it that combine elements from several of the songs, but one is mostly track 2 (.12) and the other is overwhelmingly track 6 (.16). Finally, I'll disagree with Drukman and say that I love Not Breathing's stuff, but then again I'm an Aphex-phreak too and we all know how he feels about that... =) Visible's Not Breathing 12" came out a while ago, and is jam packed with goodies. I think I heard the CD was going to be out next month...? And I guess I might as well toot my own horn and say that I've got a track on a C&S compilation called _Hypnotic_States_ along with Joey Beltram, Plastikman, Voodoo Child (Moby), and Polygon Window (RDJ)! Wow...serious shoulder-rubbing. I think they mistitled the track though, putting "Timeloose" instead of "Timeloop". I wish they'd put "Timeloose" on the CD instead, though...it's much more interesting! Ah well. --Seofon
