Pardon me if this is (one month) old news, but I just thought I'd mention it. (It's actually pretty good for me that I'm only a month behind you (-: ) The first few tracks of "My Yellow Wise Rug" had me wondering if I'd bought a clunker (and at US $22.98 or thereabouts, I can't afford clunkers). Just seemed to be too mellow and listless; almost (in ambience) like "Bytes" or something. Then "Hectic Bag" came on and just about blew me a new arsehole. Track 9 ("Shades Amaze") is also really cool - neat phlanged female airy backdrop vocals sampling, and something that reminds me of those weird noises the Monolith in 2001 kept emitting (-: As for the remainder, I found it helps to be in a small room with little efficient monitor speakers flanking you; you catch the nuances of the mellower stuff a lot better ... I think at some point somebody (Regis) asked what was in the stereogram. Well, I can *see* everything in it, and it's not clear that anything that makes up the different levels is supposed to *be* anything, at least that which exists in Nature (-: - Greg OnNow: Re-Load Records - "The Compilation" OnBefore: Luke Slater's 7th Plain - "My Yellow Wise Rug"

I didn't buy the disk, but an advert for it in a musig rag had a stereogram which I assume is the same one, but b/w without the yellow. In this image were two kneeling figures, facing each other, with various objects in the "air" between them, as if held by telekinesis, or being juggled. These were various shapes like a 3-d X shape, a ball, various others.
