The cover art is kind of a put-off, and you even get a big poster of the cover with the record! (silly computer-generated 'dog' sort of on a theatrical stage...silly...kinda low-res tho!) I like it better than the first LP on Warp. The last track on the second record is in 6/4! Beautiful! I just did a 5/4 over 4/4 mix today...weird pattern relationship. I think the blaring digital sound on 808 State's "Cubik" was played by hand at roughly a 5-count and (unintentionally at first(?))-quantized into 16th notes. In other words, those are the sixteenth notes that are closest to where 5/4 notes overlap... Anyone else notice this stuff? Bits like this make me tweak on my sequencer for hours...%-) David Chandler - chandler@nethost.multnomah.lib.or.us (503)301-3011
