Doesn't calling something (both releases being >an entire album) a LP imply that it's on vinyl? I always thought that since >LP = long-play(ing) that the long-play characteristic meant it was on vinyl. >Anyone?
So why do I have so many CD's that have 'EP' in the title? Just because the original reasons for the distinction don't all cross over into the digital realm doesn't mean the distinction doesn't still exist, or that the terminology of vinyl isn't just as useful applied to CD. Do you get angry when people call a 33 RPM record an "album," because it's supposed to refer to a set of 78's?
