Well, whatever the state of play in the US, Lifeforms is available over here (as of yesterday) - went into Virgin last night with my plastic clutched in my hot little hand and came out UKP13 lighter. And, on first listening, well worth it; for some reason, it reminded me of Mixmaster Morris without the beats. Unlike Brendan, Autechre et al, I think it's great and well worth getting - very floaty, lots of strange noises (also bears a certain resemblance to Silence by Namlook/Atmo) I'll be playing it quite a lot over the next few weeks, I feel; the acid test (will I come back to it in 6 months time) is obviously (as yet) unresolved.
