|Don't mean to sound flameish but I'm sick of hearing Keoki hype. Yes he's |been around for a long time but that doesn't necessarily mean he's good. |Basically he has a bunch of club kids who follow him around anywhere he goes |because of his 'fabulous' attitude. These kids could probably care less |and know even less about the music. i'd have to agree.. every time i've heard keoki i've been left wholely uninspired and unimpressed.. not only did he clear the dance floor both times, but in effect, caused the events to end early.. now this is not to say that djs should always just "play to the crowd" - but i think that a medium can be reached where you take the crowd in a different direction they've ever been before while not alienating them with music they show complete indifference to.. and i also got a real bad first impression when he was here for divine playground last year and he spun (at night) with sunglasses on, like he was some star we were supposed to worship or something.. on the flipside sven vath spun for 6 hours at the divine playground after hours with a hit of x as payment.. (yes, he was in town already and probably got plenty from the main divine playground event, but still..) my record suggestion of the week - the stunning rabbit in the moon remix of velocity's 'lust' on superstition.. and i'm not just saying that because rabbit in the moon are from florida.. ;)
