I don't know. I like Namlook a lot, and own much of the FAX catalog, but I'd say that Namlook is not everyone's cup of tea. His brand of ambience doesn't really appeal to everyone, especially those that prefer a bit more dynamics such as beats. I'd say that ambient is his forte, although some works as Sequential and 4Voice have been good. Some of his hardcore stuff has not been that great (e.g. Deltraxx). Maybe I'm just jealous. As I type, Mixmaster Morris, Space Time Continuum, and THE PETE NAMLOOK are performing up in San Francisco while I sit in a deserted computer lab. But I bet his live thing ends up on CD, as two previous stints have (as Astrogator and The Dutch Side of The Milky Way). If anyone wants to talk about Namlook and/or FAX, mail me and I'll be happy to talk about anything about that guy WHO DIDN'T COME TO L.A.... Jonathan eabu751@orion.oac.uci.edu
