Biosphere "Dropsonde" is a fantastic album. Sweet ambient music with
nice jazz loops, an uncommon approach (but not new: it reminds me of
much of the stuff on Howie B's also fantastic "Music for babies" album)
which should be tried out more...
Geir Jenssens best album since "Substrata", I'd say. It's clearly a
Biosphere album; it has the beautiful atmospheric feel of "Substrata"
and the hypnotizing work with loops of "Shenzhou".
With this album, Geir has again shown that he's the king of ambient
(with Pete Namlook and Brian Eno as runners-up).
Go get it!
