if you're getting to the point with your music where reason is limiting you I would suggest using Cubase SX2 and lots of plugins. all the Native Instruments products are really top notch. my arsenal includes Reaktor 4, Absynth, Pro-54, Tassman, plus many more. for drums I just got Intakt, a NI loop machine which does all the cool stuff that Dr. Rex does plus much more. also for drums sometimes I like to just sequence them as wav files in Cubase. this allows you to simply right click on any given kick drum, snare or high-hat and do a variety of operations to it such as reverse, apply VST effects, time stretch and pitch shift. I still like and use some of the Reason mods but I sequence it all from Cubase so as to eliminate the confusion of using 2 separate sequencers for the same project. also one thing that can help with Reason is to run each mod to it's own rewire channel. this allows you to use EQs and VST effects which are much higher quality then their Reason counterparts. Also that way you can do all your mixing in Cubase and not have to deal with the reason mixer. hope this helps, ~Charles http://groundchuck.net --- Edward Morbius <morbius445@hotmail.com> wrote:
