thank you adesh, i was just going to say something along these lines. ie... there really AREN'T enough live shows etc - and most of the time, i hear something like "oh, i sure wish Boards of Canada would tour. And why didn't Mum come to my city?" "man, i hope warp does another tour soon" and then shortly after, it's "man, boards of canada sure are fucking boring live" and "that warp show was piss because people did/didn't dance enough, and they just had laptops, and laptops aren't playing live." next to my father, the IDM-List is the all time superior king of double standards. and for my musical content: that new benge album on expanding is excellent. very tight, clean musics. nicely written melodies, great atmosphere and a good amount of variation/variety to keep it interesting. expanding release yet another great record. well done. jilm acre ----- Original Message ----- From: "Record Camp" <lists@activaire.com> To: "'Andrew Hime'" <hime@charter.net>; <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Monday, August 26, 2002 12:52 PM Subject: RE: [idm] DJ/Rupture ,Brothomstates, Machine Drum live this Sunday NYC
