Yeah, I'm not really into anything that Mike P is doing lately.
Aphex gives up 200+ old tracks for free. Mike P does three albums of it and
charges.
Limited 12"s that are released at inflated/collector's prices instead of
what it actually costs to manufacture and profit from them. I mean, I don't
know the production game, but I can't imagine it costs $2,899 to press up
100 12"s. I may be completely wrong about that, and I'm happy to eat my
words if it's true.
OH AND WE DON'T DO DIGITAL RELEASES. Please.
"Furthur Electronix is a label that will put out good quality electronic
music, in the forms of Techno, Deep house, IDM, Electro and Acid. With the
help of Majkel from Stockholm on the graphics, we want to create excellent
design along with the sound. We will press enough for the collectors and
DJs to play these records worldwide."
Disagree.
Obviously it's not my place to tell anyone how to run their business, but
the walk doesn't seem to match the talk.
