I own a t-shirt with no brand names or band names on it, that is the EXACT
same color as the tri repetae album cover. I just call that my tri repetae
t-shirt. It doesn't really help to advertise for the band, but then again,
that's kind of what you were saying they wanted, right?
Also, when I saw them live in LA there was a guy there that had an ep7 shirt
that was basically just the cover printed on the back of a white t-shirt. He
could have made it custom himself, but I don't really know, I assumed he had
bought it at a concert, because it was very professionally done.

Subject: [idm] ae merch?
Autechre, unlike Stereolab, etc, have obviously never been much of a
merchandise band.. and for a good reason. They are so involved in the sound
that I suppose they don't want any type of associative icons related to
their music or something philosophical like that.. but you gotta admit it
would rock to wear around a tri-rep-brown Autechre t-shirt, right? Now I
seem to vaguely remember reading that at one time in the past they produced
ONE type of tri-rep promo t-shirt. Is this true, considering the vagueness
of the rumour and the unorthodox nature of it? It doesn't seem like Sean
and Rob's style..since they couldn';t care any less about promotion or
record sales.. but who knows.. Just wondering if anyone here could shed
some light on the issue..
