Whenever u play a song from the internet winamp doesnt really save the file.
It just streams it through its mp3 decoder to some place in your ram area
and then calls outport functions with the address of your soundcard dma
loaded into one of the registers along with the location of where it put
the decoder output. You could run a debugger to find out exactly where the
bits are going if you really want to know, but i would say you probably just
want to save the mp3 u just listened to. In that case just right click on
the
link and click save as and then you can choose where to store the file
without going through winamp.
