Listening on Spotify. What I like about it is their patience and
indifference to fashion. The track "Neither/Either" is actually a dubstep
half-stepper track, 2 years after the UK electronic music world de-listed
dubstep as a genre. "Control Needs Time" combines their two true loves:
scary bass and treating sounds until they lose all notion of origin. And
on top of that (or beneath that) they have a nicely melancholy chord
progression. Favorite so far is "Shut Eye" which has some of the industrial
filigree of Autechre while remaining more straightforward. The use of
distortion and short delays on the drums is cool, changing up the timing
and timbre.
