Bedouin Ascent is one guy, Kingsuk Biswas. He has a track on that Talvin Singh
related comp 'Anokha: Soundz of the Asian Underground' under his real name...
To the best of my knowledge he only has one album release, and a follow up ep.
Both were on Rising High, and the I recall that the full length was called
'Music for Particles'. To be honest, I'd recommend fans of his recent stuff
steer clear of this older material. While still rhythmically all over the
show, it's very much based on analogue synth and drum machine sounds. I don't
reckon these techno sounds work with the left-field rhythms, particularly not
with a bunch of very unexceptional wafty synth pads in the background.
Since then I've only heard the 'Macro Dub Infection' track you mention (my
fave on that album), the one on 'Anokha', and his contribution to the Dot
records comp 'Endlessnessism'.
