Yes, I found this to be quite inspiring. For the next 10 years, whenever I
went into a record store that was playing REM (and this happened quite
often), I would pick out the clerk that was enjoying the music the most and
ask them "Is this the new Air Supply album?". When they inevitably
answered no, I would say "Funny, sounds just like them". This always
elicited a huge scowl from the clerk and a secret smile from me.
Just goes to show, when you put a meme out there, you never know where
people will run with it...
