i know what you are talking about, man, but i think it's because you have
attached those kinds of emotions to that music. if you are like me, you
were listening to sonic youth, fugazi, dinosaur jr YEARS ago (don't get me
wrong, i still put it on- i love it), and you were a much different person
then.
if, however, you are talking about a lack of melody or an overall lack of
energy in the music, perhaps you need to check out something new!
