An Indonesian percussion orchestra. Lots of bell-like sounds, tuned fairly close to intervals on a tempered scale, but not quite. Gamelan is the traditional dance music of Indonesia. Strangely, I found the feel of Oval's 'Systemisch' a bit similar to some of the slower passages in gamelan stuff... I can't really justify it, except for the rhythms being hard to follow, and the quite harmonically simple, clear tones.
