Hello!
Recently there seemed to be disagreement about the quality of Lunatic
Harness. Well, after giving it a couple of thorough listens, I come down
on the side of those who LIKE it. I find it both eerily melodic and lo-fi
distorted at the same time. Very nice.
Right now I'm listening to the Distance reissue of Kenny Larkin's Metaphor
album. This also gets high marks for its melody and its rhythms. Very
Detroit....banging if you will....but with underlying beautiful, uplifting
melodies.
Distance has also reissued early Aphex stuff and a couple of nice house
comps. Keep an eye on this up and coming domestic (U.S.) label.
