Re: GPR...... Til we know what the hell is up with GPR.. we've got the first beautiful five releases on RESOURCE RECORDS. EPRE/CDRE001 GERM - GERM EPRE002 STEVE COOPER - MOVING WAVES EPRE003 R.M.D. - GET UP/INVISIBLE MAN EPRE004 FEARSUM ENDJINN - PSYRON EPRE005/CDRE002 ROUPE - ENTELECHY They've got a lot of Germ and Beaumont Hannant remixes dispersed amongst them, and basically carries on the GPR spirit of things, except visually a bit more plain packaging wise. The Beaumont mix of Moving Waves is a humdinger of a dark dance tune to those darker and more experimental dancefloor DJ's out there.. (packs my floor anyways; though I've been packing it with the noisier cuts from the Sidewinder album, so that doesn't really say much, does it?) Another neglected entity: Dominic Glynn aka Syzygy aka Fluid.. The Fluid releases on Glynn's No Bones label has been tops, from slow and chunky trip fests to mutant half-breakbeaty stompy-things.. Wasn't there just a new one released Fluid wise (BONES008?)?? The rest of the label releases are nice, but nothing can stand up to Glynns beautifully crafted compositions (for the slower ones, think of the 12" Remix of Irresistible Force's Natural Frequency.... straight to the chemical playground....) John Quest Sex Magick, Designer Drugs, & Machines that go PIng!
