Well, strictly speaking their music isn't purely 4/4 time. They mix several
timings in tracks. The rhythm may have an underlying 4/4 kick but then they
layer other fill in stuff with other timings which makes it layered. That's
what gives it its signature sound. everyone's always talking about the
tricky rhythm patterns The Black Dog uses...
