and mike kandel of exist dance records (who is, or was, heavily influenced by
detroit artists) has used them several times. one of the versions of "they
came in peace" has it, as does one of the sides of "trying to reach you"...
there's more but i'm spacing on them. he's also done the (well worn) trick of
making the groove skip forward, leaving a lot of space, and etching a message
in the empty space...
