eep.. i thought it basically sucked. i *like* the first one - you
call it repeptitive, but i like it because it sets a consistent mood.
light the candles, burn some incense, slap MCMXC AD on the player and
away you go.
this new one is all over the place with a few horrendous bon
jovi-esque "power ballads" thrown in for extra vomit-inducing effect.
any time Cretu open his yob it's all over as far as I'm concerned.
i was also really cheesed off at how blatantly they sampled and reused
"the calling" by APL for track 8. ok, they credited APL and probably
are paying generously but still, it bugs me. especially as the APL
track is so godlike.
there *are* a few good pieces, don't get me wrong, but the ratio is
pretty disheartening. i'd give it a 3/10.
color me VERY disappointed.
