Some people may rush to say this is off-topic but, briefly, there's a Whitehouse discography at http://www.neox.demon.co.uk/whitehouse/discography/ that does *not* list personnel. There's an interview with William Bennett at http://www.sexynexus.com/esoterra/whouse.htm which does not go into much detail but says Stefan played live shows with them in '84 and played on the 1992 _Twice is Not enough_ release. Jesus... IDM and Stefan Jaworzyn cross paths. Now I've seen everything... (Although I hear SJ was among the first to fully endorse Mouse on Mars' alpha-state-ascendant qualities; some feat for one of the more acidic 'human breath' obsessive gtr/skronk player/personalities. Kudos for that. Now only if some of the more homophobic noise-lifers would see that the act of moving diagonally to any sort of african-sourced rhythm does not in fact instantly make man lust after man then we'd get somewhere. I'd really love to do that Dead C remix, although I feel the powers that be would never have it) My favorite SJ moment was during his Twisted Village in-store of anti-school solo guitar histrionics. Right after the first 'set', declares: "This next piece is from my Thrill Jockey Twelve Inch. It's called 'See Jim O'Rourke, kick him in the ass, I'll give you a dollar'". We all fucking died laughing... Skullflower recordings under SJ's reigns were some of the most happening sounds around at the time. Damn MPO & their oxidization scheme.

PS - Now this may have been an elaborate media hoax, but at least 2 people have informed me over the last year (kid included) that the first real Kid 606 tour of the US consisted musically of nothing more than a straight 4-5 of Whitehouse 'covers' (Philip Best era) rendered via 909/proco rat variations & vox. This would have been 2 years ago, placing Kid at the 18 mark. Now that's progressive... Any tapes of that floating around? NP(I): Fennesz - IVEND.00 (no, it's not out yet). ____________________ Reckankreuzungsklankewerkzeuge PO BOX 382864.
