i just picked up 2 new things. im not supposed to be buying new music. but i guess i cant help it. im sure someone understands. 1. hospital people 7" (duck suit records?) folks from low doing electronic music. one of the tracks on this is so beautifully poppy and minimal and nice (like low :)... ireallyreallyreally like this. 2. deadpan - escapement 2 x 12" good odd domestic (us) techno stuff. anyone have a story on this? chris (who picked a very very very bad time to move out, given the coming schematic releases, 20' - 2000 series, coil winter solstice release, i-f... fuckfuckfuck ! )

Chris: no word of a lie, but i was actually listening to this as I was checking my email, and opened your email just as the last song on this release ended! a strange coincidence, indeed. It is very good stuff. Release title is "Deadpan Escapement", it's an album from California's Twerk and Sutekh. It's release number 4 on Sutekh's Belief Systems label. For those who haven't heard it, it's moody minimal techno with a number of dark ambient pieces in there as well. A package worth checking out. If you'd like to hear a taste, one of the techno tracks is featured in an In The Mix show from a month or so back on http://www.globalserve.net/~cognition Thanks.
