Shite, poo and ca-ca. (I'm sorry, it was just too easy...) Greg obIDM: The Morgan Geist disc on Clear is sooooooo nice 'n' smooth! Has his disc with that other guy whose name I forget on Phono come out yet? If so, how does it stack up against the Clear release?

Morgan and Titonton (Duvante) The 12" on phono *is* out. FYI, this was originally going to be on Morgan's own label (Environ) but there weren't enough pre-orders to move out of white label stage. As far as the music goes, yeah, it's very much like what you get on the Clear pressings, but a little more spastic (that's T's influence!) and full of great hairpin twists and turns. Teep

Sorry, should've been a little clearer... I knew this 12" was out, but I heard that the tracks would also be appearing on a full-length release of some sort on Phono. That's what I'm a-wonderin' about. Greg

There is Morgan Geist compilation album due out soon on the Phono label that will compile tracks from many of his early 12"s. I don't recall the release date of it though. I haven't heard of a Titonton & Morgan Geist album but that doesn't mean that there isn't one. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

from the ghost himself "In February, there will be a release on Phono that will compile ENV002, 003 (Phono 15) and a track from 001, plus two new bits. It should be called "Morgan Geist Presents Environ: Into A Seperate Space." " There is also a Phono comp out now that apparently has some track(s) of mine on it. " m.g. There you have it! Just checked the new phono comp for Morgan Geist tracks and there unfortnunately aren't any. Here is the info on the release anyway: . Phono - The End of the Beginning comp 2xcd (Phono) disk1 . strange attractor: golden gate . herbert: love the dj . herbert: non-stop . herbert: shuffler . freaks: journeys through happiness . herbert: uk spring . herbert: our love (from san fran) mix . point blank: a game of two halves . freaks: i am an instrument . max: touched up disk 2 (mixed by chirs duckenfield) . herbert: go with the beat . herbert: over & out . herbert: uk spring . point blank: rog (berbert's breakfast mix) . herbert: our love (from san fan) mix . freaks: journeys through sadness, day 2 . deep dish: ether's whisper remix . herbert: people that make the music . point blank: frug . dj assassin: jazz journey (swag's night sight remix) . freaks: the shrunken head (club radioactive re-dub) . point blank: a game of two halves . freaks: mindless funk . strange attractor: luxor . herbert: rude (sensory elements oozy cooz remix) So no morgan geist tracks at least on the 2xcd version. i don't remember the exact track listing for the 2x12" but i do remember that there were only 10 tracks on it whereas the 2xcd has 25 tracks. -->-Lance--- p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states

actually the 2x12" has 7 tracks, 5 of which appear on the mix cd, the other 2 are only on the vinyl release. so for those who already have all of the 12"s it's all new tracks/mixes (and excellent ones at that): a1 point blank - frug a2 the micronauts - get funky get down (peach palf remix) b1 freaks - journeys through sadness - day 2 c1 freaks - the shrunken head (club radioactive re-dub) c2 herbert - rude (sensory elements oozy cooz beats) d1 rude solo - offcut d2 herbert - over and out so yeah, no m. geist tracks... andy onnow: gu - future parables (defender)
