The entire record is full of K2000 and yes, those are the same sounds! I love the fact that he actually got away with that.. That entire record is a testament to the strength of FM and other Digital-based synths.. At first listen, I wasn't too thrilled about the Lp, but it's really grown on me.. I love Kenny's stuff, especially Serena X and the Pod record.. JAmie

Get away with? I don't think this thread would be happening if he did... assuming "get away with" means "people not noticing." I don't know if it is a testament to synths per se but presets!! I guess my slight dismay evidences some guilt/disdain for personal use of presets. It is sorta pathetic though...I used to change a few parameters by + or - one step, then rename the patch, and say "There! No longer preset!" It's psychological...

Fok, I wasn't crazy about it either. Planet X's Base 10 summed it up well when it was written that excitement and anticipation often ruins a release (or lessens its impact)... However "Azimuth" is a sonic chia pet! It grew on me too...anything new coming out by KL?? -morgan geist PS: Excuse the post if it seems passe...the network here gives me mail in a strange order...responses to my post, *then* my post...errggg...
