we waited for an hour in the rain for the friend with the tickets
to arrive, but once in, it was fun, fun, fun! easy to see why it's called
the herbal tea party, i was amazed at how many people were skinning up,
and how obviously. it was like it was legal or something... :)
not sure which were the dj's sets, but the guy that spun after
orbital played was most excellent. we got right to the front for orbital,
and were busy drooling at all their beautiful maichenery when they came
on. they started off with some new songs, a lot of long vocal samples in
the new stuff - i particularly liked one track with an operatic bass voice
all the way through. :)
they did some excellent reworks of tracks from the brown album,
impact and walkabout being memorable! there was a girl who seemed to know
them with us at the front, and she mentioned something about them playing
at a megadog on 26th july to them... anyone know any more? they had a
vid.camera filming a c.r.o and it was projected onto a thin screen in
front of them which was an excellent touch - beautiful sine wave lazers! :)
they really seemed to enjoy it as well, which is always good to
see, and if you're going to see them at glasterrs, then have fun - they're
ace! :)
