<big hi-five to Aran!> I like either 'threads' or 'new threads' a lot.. Forget that net/cyber/computer/techno/information lingo - that shit is played out - it's time to take for-granted that we're using technology to create art and communicate with each other and move on.. ;) This comp idea is cool.. Agreed. Speaking of net-talk, has anyone seen the name of Moby's ambient mix of his new 'Hymn' release? It's called the alt.quiet.version :-(

Indeed it is. I hope that it actually gets off the ground though, and doesn't just remain 'a cool idea'. __ Simon Walley | 1E 76 9A 0D 78 3A 3B 1C | /\ \ <u9323899@sys.uea.ac.uk> | A1 60 73 AE 8B 0E E0 B6 | /--\_\

Yes, "Threads" is a nice name!

Well, it's been used for this for a very long time... it's just that the media is lagging behind and always has to hype things for the mainstream... I heard once that a magazine (Time maybe) or newspapers, or maybe all of media, was written on the 4th grade reading level. :) Anyway...

Yep! It's being done nearly everywhere else on the net. Much of it happening especially in the electronic-music/rave parts...so, I just mentioned the idea here and *BOOM* it takes off...it hadn't been even 48 hours yet (I think), and talk of a CD and suggestion for getting pressed under a label (Warp) sprung up. Well, anyway, "Threads" sounds good! -djkc

well, i don't ever say much here, but i'll go ahead and jump on the bandwagon in support for teep's cool name. lots of art along with music would be cool too. i'd love to contribute. :) randy
