Ok, if anyone can help me out here I would be really really really thankful, and shortly thereafter really poor. :) The only way I am able to get a lot of the CDs I like is on import, and for many of the obscure ones that means...yep, you guessed it, ordering them. Soooo, can anyone give me the catalog #s for the CDs listed below? I'll be your friend forever, and ever, and I'll tell everyone I know how wonderful and helpful you are :) Orbital: Diversions Irresistable Force: Flying High (full length) Optica: Cyber Hallucinations (is this available on CD? It's on Kinetix) Various: Ethnotechno (I know this is on WaxTrax/TVT) Various: Transmitting From Heaven Cosmic Baby: (Dunno the name, but I hear the new LP is out in Europe...) Jam & Spoon: Follow Me (the single; is it on CD?) Yokota: The Frankfurt Tokyo Connection (on Harthouse) Bandulu: Bandulu EP (on Creation UK, I think) Lumukanda: Triad 3 (on Nova Zembla,Belgium) Laurent Garnier: Planet House EP (can you even get FNAC stuff on CD?) Hawtin & Namlook: From Within EP Whew!! I hope that's it! Unless anyone has other suggestions....:) Tankyou tankyou tankyou in advance! Crispin ------

It could be best described as a US release of the Peel Sessions. I don't have it with me, but a promo's at the office and I remember it contained: Impact USA Lush Eurotunnel Disaster Walkabout Lush (CJ Bolland, Underworld, Psychick Warriors) and some other tracks. It was album-length rather than a 12"... This is just random remebrances, as I'm not in the office... Peace, Matt <(hcy)> XLR8R Magazine, Seattle

These are on the Lush 3-1/2/3 and Lush 3-4/5 12"s. Anyone know whether there are any new tracks....? Cheers, Cosmic

Dave at Ear/rational has most or all of these titles. You won;t need catalog numbers (I never do). Try him at angst@-mission.com. Try ear-rational@xmission.com. It works better.

A big warm thank you to everyone who replied to my post.tankyou tankyou. Seems like a lot of people really like the ear-rational service. I have e-mailed for their catalog mailing-list, but being from "north of the border", I like to try to get my CDs a little more locally; not only because by doing so I am supporting my local economy (sigh- I know.) but also because it's way easier, and after comparing import/taxes/currency exchange with a friendly discount for being a loyal customer, I prefer to "shop local". I didn't intend for this thank you note to become a social awareness thing, but I am curious about how many of my patriot IDMers mail-order, or if not, how do you get your "hard-to-find" imports? Sometimes I wonder what's going on when even "good" CD shops (for IDM et al) haven't heard about new and upcoming, hell *already* released material, that I find out about in magazines like "Select" and "Streetsound". Don't these people get some kind of "special advance notice" and/or promos? A-nyway, thanx again for all your help. Now all I gotta do is win Lotto649.....ahhhhh, what to do with $19 000 000....heh heh aha hmmmmm... Online connection: London Ontario, Canada Crispin -----

The Compact Disc Connection is where I get almost all of my domestic (US) stuff, and my import stuff from Ear/Rational. About once a year I get to go to Berkeley, CA, where Rasputin Records is at, and their techno CD selection is the best I've seen. Imports, domestics, you name it. When all else fails, ask your fellow IDM'ers if they have it and want to sell it, or maybe someone can get it for you.
